PAULIE’S PUSH
ONE MAN’S JOURNEY TO HONOR & REMEMBER THE ‘FIRST, FIRST RESPONDERS’ OF 9/11 - THE FLIGHT CREWS
Next year is 25 Years.
This next Push is everyone’s Push.
Paulie’s Push is the effort of a retired United flight attendant to honor the ‘first, first responders’ of September 11 - the flight crews of American 11, United 175, American 77, and United 93. From 2021 through 2024 Paulie pushed an airline beverage cart along routes designed to simulate the flight paths of each of these aircraft. Between two Pushes between Boston-Logan and Ground Zero, a Push from Washington-Dulles to the Pentagon, and a Push from Newark-Liberty to Stoystown, PA, Paulie’s cart has traveled more than 750 miles in honor of these heroes.
In 2026, to mark 25 years since the hijackings, Paulie’s cart will be pushed from Boston to Manhattan one last time. When the cart reaches Ground Zero on September 11, 2026 it will have traveled more than one thousand miles. What’s more, for 2026, four additional carts have been donated - one for each of the four flights. This last Push is Everyone’s Push - and while it will continue honor the flight crews of 9/11, we plan also to honor all those who died that day. We’ll be featuring the spirit and tenacity of those who survived, who continue to grieve, and continue to honor those who were lost in helping keep our promise to #NeverForget.
